Taking action for a brighter, greener future

Every year on 22 April millions of people across the globe celebrate Earth Day, which marks the anniversary of the modern environmental movement and highlights the importance of protecting our planet.

As part of our commitment to building a greener world, Intertek Shanghai organised a tree planting initiative. Led by our Green Initiatives team, the event celebrated the theme of “leading a low-carbon life, protecting the green earth”.

Through this initiative, our colleagues helped to enhance the local environment by planting tree saplings to improve air quality, combat climate change and support surrounding ecosystems. For each sapling planted, team members hung a wish tag on the tree, symbolising our shared hope for a brighter future.

This important initiative fostered a sense of unity and collaboration throughout the team, highlighting the collective role we can play in actioning and encouraging sustainable practices that protect our planet for future generations.
