China – 2016 Updated Footwear and Light Industrial Product Standard List

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China released announcement No. 37 of 2016, which published updates to a number of footwear standards. These standards include some product standards such as HG/T 4992-2016 “Jogging rubber shoes,” HG/T 4994-2016 “Fashion rubber shoes” and QB/T 2880-2016 “Children's leather shoes,” as well as some relevant test method standards, including HG/T 4990-2016 “Test method for torsion performance of rubber shoes,” HG/T 4997-2016 “Determination of pull out force of eyelets” and QB/T 5004-2016 “Footwear buckle and shoes strap attachment strength of shoes.” The announcement also includes 3 light industrial product standards: QB/T 4997-2016 “Plastic wooden hanger,” QB/T 4998-2016 “Cleaning brushes Kitchen brush” and QB/T 4999-2016 “Daily rain poncho raincoats.” Key updates to the standards list follow:
