Women’s Undergarments
The Guangzhou Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for women’s undergarments. The spot check inspected 80 batches of samples; 21 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to GB/T 28863-2012 “Sampling inspection procedures for commodity applying to the case with prior information of quality” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, label, fiber content and colorfastness to washing.
Primary failed items: fiber content, pH value, colorfastness and label
Imitation Jewelry
The Market and Quality supervision Commission of Shenzhen Municipality launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for imitation jewelry. The spot check inspected 59 batches of samples; 23 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to GB 28480-2012 “Adornment - Provision for limit of baneful elements” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were nickel release, toxic element, As, Hg, Pb, Cd total content and chromium VI content.
Primary failed items: Pb, Cd total content
Garments
The Shenyang Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for garments. The spot check inspected 30 batches of samples; 4 batches were found unqualified.
The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, label, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration and colorfastness to dry rubbing.
Primary failed items: formaldehyde, pH value and label
Leather Footwear
The Shenyang Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for leather footwear. The spot check inspected 81 batches of samples; 5 batches were found unqualified.
The key items inspected on these samples were appearance, peeling strength of upper and sole, upper pull out strength, whole shoe flexing, outsole abrasion resistance, attachment strength of heel, bond strength for insole and outsole and heel hardness.
Primary failed items: attachment strength of heel, peeling strength of upper and sole and upper pull out strength
Decorative Fabric, Down Products, Suits, Towels, Neckties and Spring Mattresses
The Shaoxing Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for decorative fabric, down products, suits, towels, neckties and spring mattresses.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB 5296.4-2012 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest - Part 4: Textiles and apparel” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were label, formaldehyde, fiber content, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to dry cleaning, colorfastness to light, colorfastness to light and perspiration and seam slippage.
Primary failed items: banned Azo dyestuff, formaldehyde, fiber content and colorfastness
Down Products
The Anhui Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for down products. The spot check inspected 20 batches of samples; 2 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to FZ/T 81002 “Washed feather and down,” GB 18401 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 14272 “Down Garment,” GB/T 10288 “Testing methods for down and feather”. The key items inspected on these samples were down content, cleanliness/turbidity, odor, oxygen number, fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value and microorganism.

The Liaoning Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for garments. The spot check inspected 50 batches of samples; 13 batches were found unqualified.

The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry cleaning, colorfastness to dry rubbing and fiber content.

Student Wear
The Guizhou Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for student wear. The spot check inspected 13 batches of samples; 3 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to GB/T 22854-2009 “Knitted School Uniform,” GB/T 23328-2009 “Woven Garments for Students,” GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to light, colorfastness to light and perspiration, seam strength, slippage, dimensional stability to washing, formaldehyde, pH value and banned Azo dyestuff.
