Children’s Footwear
The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children’s footwear. The spot check inspected 45 batches of samples; 8 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to QB/T 2880-2007 “Children's leather shoes,” GB 25036-2010 “Children’s Canvas Rubber Footwear,” QB/T 4331- 2012 “Children's Athletic Shoes,” QB/T 1002-2005 “Leather shoes,” GB/T 15107- 2013 “Athletic footwear,” GB/T 22756-2008 “Leather Sandals” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were appearance, odor, heel hardness, outsole hardness, peeling strength, flexing resistance, colorfastness to rubbing of lining and insole, upper pull out strength, heel attachment, bond strength for insole and outsole, size of shank, physical performance, bond strength of foxing and upper, tensile strength, elongation at break, abrasion resistance, AZO, free formaldehyde, pH value, extractable heavy metals and chromium VI content.
Primary failed items: chromium VI content, outsole hardness, appearance, abrasion resistance and peeling strength.
Children’s Garments
The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children’s garments. The spot check inspected 62 batches of samples; 7 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to GB 5296.4-2012 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest – Part 4: Textiles and apparel,” GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 29862-2013 “Textiles –Identification of fiber content,” GB/T 22702-2008 “Standard safety size for drawstrings on children’s upper wear,” GB/T 22705-2008 “Safety specifications for cords and drawstrings on children’s clothing,” FZ/T 81014-2008 “Infant's Wear,” FZ/T 73025-2013 “Knitted Garment and Adornment For Infant,” FZ/T 81003-2003 “Children's Clothing and Student's Wear,” FZ/T 81004-2012 “Skirts and Skirted suit,” FZ/T 81006-2007 “Jeanswear,” FZ/T 81007-2012 “Casual Wear,” FZ/T 73045-2013 “Knitted children’s wear” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to saliva, formaldehyde, pH value, fiber content, AZO, seam strength, safety specifications for cords and drawstrings on children's clothing, extractable heavy metals and label.
Primary failed items: pH value, formaldehyde, fiber content, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration and label.
Infant Quilts, Garments and Bedding
The Qingdao Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for infant quilts, garments and bedding. The spot check inspected 15 batches of samples; 5 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” FZ/T 73025-2013 “Knitted Garment and Adornment For Infant” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, AZO, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to saliva, flammability, extractable heavy metals and seam strength.
Primary failed items: seam strength.
Children’s Garments
The Qingdao Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children’s garments. The spot check inspected 34 batches of samples; 2 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” FZ/T 73025-2013 “Knitted Garment and Adornment For Infant,” FZ/T 81003-2003 “Children's Clothing and Student's Wear” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, AZO, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to saliva, colorfastness to light, flammability, extractable heavy metals and seam strength.
Primary failed items: fiber content and seam strength.
Children’s Garments
The Zhengzhou Administration for Industry & Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children’s garments. The spot check inspected 20 batches of samples; 15 batches were found unqualified.
The key items inspected on these samples were pH value, formaldehyde, AZO, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to saliva, seam strength, fiber content and label.
Primary failed items: label, fiber content pH value.
Sportswear, Knitted Underwear, Children’s and Infant Garments
The Market and Quality supervision Commission of Tianjin Municipality launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for sportswear, knitted underwear, children’s and infant garments.

Children’s Garments

This spot check was conducted according to GB/T 28863-2012 “Sampling inspection procedures for commodity applying to the case with prior information of quality” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were label, formaldehyde, AZO, pH value, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to saliva, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to dry cleaning, colorfastness to light, seam strength, extractable heavy metals and fiber content.
Primary failed items: AZO, fiber content, colorfastness, pH value, seam strength and label.
Down Garments
The Guangzhou Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for down garments. The spot check inspected 30 batches of samples; 16 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to GB 5296.4-2012 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest – Part 4: Textiles and apparel,” GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were label, fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, AZO, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to light, down content, duck feather (down) content, filling weight, turbidity, oxygen number, odor and microorganism.
Primary failed items: AZO and down content.
Handbags and Knapsacks
The Guangzhou Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for handbags and knapsacks. The spot check inspected 41 batches of samples; 13 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to QB/T 1333-2010 “Handbag and knapsack” and GB 20400-2006 “Leather and fur―Limit of harmful matter.” The key items inspected on these samples were free formaldehyde, AZO, shock impact strength, seam strength and zip durability.
Primary failed items: shock impact strength and colorfastness to rubbing.
Garments and Children’s Footwear
The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for garments and children’s footwear.
