Intertek certified by Singapore Accreditation Council for face mask testing

Singapore: Intertek, a Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, is pleased to announce it has been accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) for face mask testing under the scope of ISO/IEC 17025.
Intertek Singapore Softlines Laboratory is one of the leading accredited testing facilities to provide quality assurance support in the region and is thrilled to provide testing services to ensure quality, performance and reliability of face mask products while meeting the product safety standards of the SAC. The Laboratory will expand its testing capabilities to include:
- Performance of materials used in medical face masks
- Particle filtration efficiency
- Resistance to penetration by Synthetic blood
- Differential Pressure (Air Exchange Pressure)
- Flammability / Flame spread
- Bacterial filtration efficiency.
With the new SAC certification, Intertek Singapore provides further testing services to its clients, ensuring the delivery of high quality and essential products such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and continues to support the country as a global hub of trade and innovation.
