Intertek opens a new facility in Ethiopia offering Assurance, Testing and Inspection services for the Agricultural industry

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, is pleased to announce the unveiling of our new office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The new facility will strengthen our network and capabilities in East Africa, enabling a more efficient business practice across the region. The lab offers inspection and testing services for the Agricultural industry, as well as serving as a support business for other Intertek facilities in countries such as Kenya, Djibouti and Tanzania. The facility is also licensed to provide wider business Assurance services to companies in Ethiopia.
The office has lab capabilities offering quality inspection and testing for various food commodities such as seeds, pulses, animal feeds, bulk cargoes, wheat, rice, sugar and coffee. Intertek provides these services to reduce the risks associated with shipping by monitoring the quality and quantity of cargo, from source to destination. In addition to this, the office offers Assurance services that can help customers focus on what matters most to their businesses – growing revenues, increasing market share and achieving greater business success. These services include Risk Assessment & Quality Assurance services, Auditing and Certification – such as social, environment and ethical standards - and Corporate Social Responsibility solutions.
