Intertek Signs New Contract with the Government of Niger to provide Certificate Services to support their new Conformity Assessment Programme. TBC

Intertek, the leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, has signed a new contract with the Agence Nationale de Vérification de Conformité aux Normes (AVCN) ) in Niger , West Africa, to support its new Conformity Assessment Programme in providing certification service to exporters to Niger.

The Conformity Assessment programme verifies the conformity of all regulated products in the respective exporting countries, ensuring they comply with applicable national, regional or international standards and technical regulations, protecting the health, safety and environment of Niger’s citizens from substandard imported goods and will commence in 2015.

Exporters to Niger are required to provide a Certificate of Conformity for Customs clearance and this will be compulsory. This certificate can only be obtained from an approved inspection body such as Intertek.
