Intertek Spain supports the Government of Cantabria with fuel quality testing

Bilbao, Spain - Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider worldwide, is supporting the Cantabria Government Department of Innovation, Industry, Tourism, and Commerce by providing gasoline and gasoil (diesel) sampling and quality testing for fuel distributed and sold in the region’s petrol diesel service stations.

Cantabria is a province in Spain, located on the Spanish northern coastal region.

The quality control program for marketed fuels in Cantabria complies with the European Commission’s request for the establishment of a uniform European system for fuel products distributed through petrol station networks. The program is referred to as the Fuel Quality Monitoring System (FQMS).

Intertek, as an independent, third party, accredited laboratory under ISO 17025, supports the Government of Cantabria with random fuel sampling in a representative number of petrol stations located in the region. These samples are then tested for quality in the Intertek BTC Technology Center Laboratory in Bilbao.
