Intertek Named an Approved Test Lab for Motorola’s Made for Motorola (M4DE) Program

Intertek now authorized to test and certify accessories for use with Motorola devices
Arlington Heights, IL - Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, has been named an approved test lab for Motorola’s “Made for Motorola” (M4DE) program. As an approved lab, Intertek is authorized to test accessories intended for use on Motorola devices against established performance criteria. Accessories that meet the criteria are named “Made for Motorola” and bear the M4DE mark, meaning that they are certified for use with Motorola devices.

The scope of testing that Intertek will perform for this program includes mechanical, electrical, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and Total Isotropic Sensitivity (TIS) and Total Radiated Power (TRP) testing. In addition to measuring impact of the accessory on the device, these criteria will help Intertek measure the overall mechanical performance of the accessory itself. Intertek can conduct the performance testing to help manufacturers gain the M4DE mark, but can also provide the mandatory product safety testing for accessories under this program.
Intertek participated in a rigorous validation program to demonstrate its ability to test products’ impact on certain Motorola devices. Motorola reviewed and accepted Intertek’s test reports to approve Intertek as a test lab.
