Intertek Releases New Online Tools, Helping Exporters to Saudi Arabia and Tanzania

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, has launched new online tools to help exporters to Tanzania and Saudi Arabia meet each country’s requirements for their Conformity Assessment Programmes, and so aid smooth customs clearance.

The Tanzania PVoC programme began in February, 2012. Intertek is approved by the Tanzania Bureau of Standards to issue the Certificates of Conformity required for Customs clearance. To help exporters to Tanzania, Intertek has developed a free, comprehensive, 32-page guide to Doing Business with and Exporting to Tanzania. The guide looks at economic and demographic factors, the tools needed to trade, useful links to trade related organisations, and guidance on how to comply with the Pre-export Verification of Conformity programme. The guide presents vital information needed to help exporters make informed decisions on the Tanzania market.

To support exporters to Saudi Arabia, a new video explaining the process of obtaining a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for exports to Saudi Arabia is available online. The CoC is a mandatory document required for customs clearance. The video shows each step in the process to obtain a certificate, what documents are needed, and different options available depending on the frequency and volume of shipments. Intertek has supported the Saudi Arabian programme since it began over sixteen years ago, issuing more than 1.5 million certificates and test reports. Intertek has also issued nearly 3.5 million CoCs for vehicles entering the Kingdom, and has registered thousands of manufacturers.
