Intertek Forms Strategic Alliance with IntelliCorp to Offer Pre-Employment Screening Services

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Intertek, a leading international provider of testing, inspection and certification services, today announced its strategic alliance with Intellicorp Records Inc., a subsidiary of Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq:VRSK) and a leader in pre-employment screenings. With the agreement, Intertek's Life Safety and Security clients will receive exclusive benefits via IntelliCorp to help streamline the process to complete employee background checks.

The agreement comes at a time when the industry is focusing its attention towards employees of alarm companies. Just recently, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed House Bill 2748 (HB-2748) that requires certification for employees who operate or work for an alarm business within the state of Arizona. Part of this certification requires an application and a background check that must be presented to the Board of Technical Registration before employment.
