Accreditation allows Intertek to offer a wide range of advanced analytical problem solving
Allentown, PA – Intertek, a global leader in quality and safety solutions for a wide range of industries, today announces that the Intertek Analytical Sciences Americas (ASA) laboratory in Allentown, PA was awarded ISO 17025 accreditation, general criteria for the competency of testing laboratories. ISO accreditation demonstrates that Intertek ASA has successfully completed the ISO evaluation process, including an assessment of the laboratory’s compliance with the A2LA Information Technology Program Requirements. This certification covers analysis across a wide range of parameters and standards.
ISO 17025 is the international standard by which a laboratory’s commitment to quality is evaluated. Intertek achieved this accreditation by demonstrating technical competence for product compliance testing with the operation and effectiveness of its laboratory. ISO 17025 not only considers management and technical expertise, but also emphasizes continual product and process improvement.
“Accreditation of this key laboratory for the Intertek network is a critical step in the completion of the company’s strategy to offer a wide range of advanced analytical problem solving across business in the Americas,” says Neil Chapman, Vice President Americas, Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, Intertek. “The ASA laboratory provides unique analytical science problem solving and testing capabilities to a wide range of customers across many industries.
