Intertek launches Petroleum Additive Treatment Service in the United States

Utilizing state of the art mobile equipment, Intertek offers a wide range of additive solutions for products such as crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, number two fuel oil, heavy fuel oil and asphalt.
Intertek expertise provides the petroleum industry a single point of contact to meet their inspection, analysis and petroleum treatment needs. Expert additive treatments are used in situations requiring H2S scavengers, cetane improvers, pour point depressants, lubricity improvers, conductivity improvers, corrosion inhibitors, oxidation stabilizers and metal deactivators.
The new additives service helps our customers handle petroleum quality issues without having to resort to the traditional and more costly solutions of either downgrading the cargo or using large volumes of blend stocks. The service fits very well within our existing operational and laboratory infrastructure.
