Simplified Registration, Reporting and Payment for WEEE, Packaging & Battery Responsibilities
Intertek (www.intertek.com/green) offers comprehensive outsourcing solutions for reporting for WEEE, Packaging & Battery Directive compliance. Intertek Ageus Solutions has the specialized knowledge and resources to handle the unique requirements of each of the European Union Member States, as well as Norway and Switzerland, and can facilitate seamless reporting from each business unit in each jurisdiction. For companies with global sales, the reporting service can be extended to cover the state- and provincial-level requirements in the US and Canada.
WEEE, packaging and battery reporting is often done through three separate authorities in each country; and each country may have different data reporting criteria and different language requirements. Intertek Ageus Solutions will seamlessly manage the diverse requirements and act as a single point of contact for their clients. The experienced project manager and support team assigned to the project operate as an extended internal team for Intertek's clients. The service includes reporting to each required government and agency, management of the client’s deadlines and data obligations, and provides overall summaries of quantities reported, fees and liabilities, and critical issues in each jurisdiction.
“Because WEEE, Packaging and Battery requirements are country specific, our services are designed to adapt and conform to each country’s rules and regulations, all ten EU WEEE Directive categories, and both business-to-business and business-to-consumer market-spaces,” notes Bruce Calder, General Manager of Intertek's Health and Environmental business unit. “If you need a take-back system in a particular country, we have take-back options available.”
Intertek assists customers in determining an appropriate environmental compliance scheme, including collection, transportation, and storage arrangements for our clients’ products. In addition, Intertek has a comprehensive take-back and recycling network for WEEE, packaging and batteries that spans North America and Europe.
Intertek's Reporting Services include:
- Reporting of sales and other required data to government organizations

- Single interface for all countries of interest
- Annual updates on changes to any government and/or compliance organization fees
