Intertek to provide Laboratory Support Services to Eastman Gelatine Corp

Intertek Group plc (‘Intertek’), a leading international provider of inspection, analytical, quality and safety services to a wide range of industries will provide analytical testing support services to Eastman Gelatine Corporation’s manufacturing facilities in Peabody, Massachusetts. Eastman Gelatine Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Company. Intertek has acquired laboratory assets and accepted the transfer of Kodak employees currently performing these services.

Under the agreement, Intertek will be the exclusive provider of these services, and will operate a laboratory within Eastman Gelatine’s manufacturing site in Peabody. Six Eastman Gelatine employees who are currently providing these services are expected to transfer employment to Intertek.

Neil Chapman, Vice President for Intertek’s Analytical Services in the Americas, states “The acquisition of the Eastman Gelatine laboratory in the USA enables Intertek to further expand the range of advanced analytical services available to its growing international customer base.” The President and General Manager of Eastman Gelatine, R. Gary Butler, said, “Intertek has an outstanding reputation as a leader in the field of laboratory outsourcing, so we are very pleased that they will be setting up a laboratory at our site to provide these services to Eastman Gelatine.”
