Intertek acquires Product Quality Partners in the USA

Intertek Group plc (LSE: ITRK), the leading international provider of quality and safety services including testing, inspection and certification services, today announced the acquisition of Product Quality Partners, Inc (QP) in the USA. QP is recognized as a leader in the testing of wireless devices and applications for interoperability and carrier network compatibility. QP provides its specialized services to the world’s leading wireless/mobile application providers, network carriers, and handset and accessory manufacturers.

The acquisition complements Intertek’s mobile device performance testing business and provides the telecom and wireless industry with a cost effective, single solution for testing wireless/mobile applications, content delivery systems, and devices. The combined strengths of Intertek and QP provide device manufacturers and network carriers expanded product testing and certification services, and the ability to leverage product certification marks to prove compliance to safety, quality and performance criteria.
