Cosmetic products are controlled by the European regulation 1223/2009/EC which requires an assessment of the interaction between the formulation and the packaging. Some substances can migrate from the material to the cosmetic formula and induce a risk for consumers. In this on-demand webinar, Intertek will share an approach to assess cosmetic packaging based on regulatory information provided by the material and/or packaging supplier in accordance with the Packaging Advisory Document from Cosmetics Europe. Intertek will also present the approach for safety assessment of a recycled packaging, based on analytical testing conducted on the material.
