Intertek offers expedited field labeling and evaluation to secure approval from local inspectors and quickly get your products in compliance.
When an inspector or building official “red tags” an unlabeled product, that product may not be operated until all applicable product safety requirements have been met. Intertek performs field labeling for unlabeled electrical and gas equipment, fire doors and frames, and windows. Intertek will evaluate your product quickly and assist you in obtaining approval of Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
For most areas of the U.S. and Canada we can provide NEXT DAY SERVICE. For immediate assistance, call our 24-hour hotline at 1-800-WORLD-LAB (1-800-967-5352).

Pre-Evaluation
Intertek offers services to pre-evaluate equipment and systems while still in the country of origin, including design review during product design phase, to the US or Canada National Electrical Code. This ensures that the equipment is compliant prior to shipment, and reduces re-work after shipment and installation.
Pre-evaluations conducted or performed by our in-country inspectors are an integral part of the overall evaluation process for manufacturers exporting equipment for use in the US or Canada. This continuity between our teams of experts is a benefit unique to Intertek’s industry-leading global network.
