With European regulations introducing provisions for nanomaterials, one of the major concerns for both regulators and manufacturers is to identify whether or not a material should be considered a nanomaterial.
The aim of this presentation is to try to address the complexity and the uncertainties for a working definition of the term “nanomaterial” for regulatory purposes using specific examples that may be applicable to certain classes of nanomaterials used in various industry sectors such as chemicals, ingredients, materials, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and medical.
Topics to be addressed:
- Fundamental concepts of science, engineering and technology at nanoscale level
- How to define and describe nanoscale science and nanotechnology
- Factors and properties of nanomaterials that play a role in potential health effects and environmental impact
- Critical factors to consider for definition and characterization of nanomaterials
Who should attend?
- Regulatory affairs & product compliance
- Product development and innovation
- Product marketing and management
- Quality and safety management
- Business Development
