NEMA LD 3.10: Radiant Heat Resistance
Standard: NEMA Standards Publication LD 3.10 – Radiant Heat Resistance
Certification Required: N/A
Scope: Per NEMA LD 3.10: "This test measures the ability of the surface of high-pressure decorative laminate to resist damage when subjected to a radiant heat source."

Test Procedure: The heater is positioned on the test specimen with the resistance coil at least 1.5 in. from any edge. The timer is started at the same time and the assembly is covered with the enclosure. The test is continued until the specimen fails or a time of 600 sec. is reached. Failure is categorized as blistering, charring, permanent discoloration, or crazing.
