Scope: The acceptance criteria stipulates requirements for recognition of carbon steel self-drilling tapping screws used to attach building materials to steel base material.
Applicable Products: Self-Drilling Tapping Screws made of carbon steel (including dual-hardened), stainless steel, and bi-metal materials
Test Procedures: Fasteners are tested for corrosion resistance, drill hole size and capacity, shear and tensile strength, bending moment strength, and pull-out strength.
End Result: To address determination of screw strengths and connection capacities and determination of design values.
