ASTM C482: Test Method for Bond Strength of Ceramic Tile to Portland Cement Paste
Standard: ASTM C482 - Standard Test Method for Bond Strength of Ceramic Tile to Portland Cement Paste
Certification Required: N/A
Scope: Per ASTM C482: "This test method covers the determination of the ability of glazed ceramic wall tile, ceramic mosaic tile, quarry tile, and pavers to be bonded to portland cement paste. This test method includes both face-mounted and back-mounted tile."
Applicable Products: Glazed ceramic wall tile, ceramic mosaic tile, quarry tile, and pavers.
Test Procedure: Test specimens are prepared by attaching tile to a mortar bed using Portland cement paste.
