Brandon Walters, M.Sc. Manager, Toxicology, Feed, & Regulatory Affairs, Food & Nutrition
Brandon Walters is a Manager of Toxicology, Feed, & Regulatory Affairs within the Food & Nutrition Group. His area of specialty primarily focuses on the regulatory authorization of animal feed ingredients in the European Union (EU), United States (U.S.), and Canada.
Brandon has extensive experience in preparing both food and feed submissions and notifications for review by global regulatory agencies and organizations including the European Commission, European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), U.S.
Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Canada, and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Additionally, Brandon has a wealth of experience assisting clients with navigating and understanding the recent EU Transparency Regulation and submissions under the EU regulations for genetically modified food and feed.
Brandon received his M.Sc. in Animal and Poultry Science and Toxicology from the University of Guelph, his thesis focusing on the efficacy of a Yeast Cell Wall-Derived Mycotoxin Adsorbent on Excretion of Aflatoxin B2 in Weanling Rats. He received his B.Sc. in Biomedical Toxicology with Honours from the University of Guelph.
